Understanding Mental Illness

This exciting psychology course on understanding mental illness will introduce learners to the different ways doctors and psychologists diagnose and classify mental illnesses. This course may explore the explanations, diagnostics and different therapies for stress in the workplace, depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorders, phobias, gambling behaviour, and autism.

Learners will discuss the specific techniques used by different kinds of psychologists to treat mental illness such as psychodynamic, behavioural, social, humanistic, cognitive and biological approaches.
